Fund Objective

The objective of the Fund is to achieve over the longer term the highest possible return that is consistent with a conservative investment philosophy encompassing a diversified portfolio approach by investing primarily in equity securities of large and medium sized Canadian companies with a focus on high quality, solid companies with financial strength and growth prospects.

Our bottom-up stock selection defines our approach. Rigorous analysis and proprietary valuation methods enable us to structure portfolios with an aim to perform over the long term. A blend of value and growth, we look for companies with distinct competitive advantage, along with return on equity, growth and balance sheet strength.

Mr. Halley has 17 years of industry experience and has been with the firm and a predecessor since 2009. Prior experiences include positions as Senior Portfolio Manager and Investment Analyst at major Canadian investment management firms.

Mr. Halley graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), majoring in Finance. He later received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Toronto Rotman School. He also obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Ashish Chaturvedi is a member of the Canadian Equity Core team and is jointly responsible for the management of the Canadian Equity Core investment strategy.

Mr. Chaturvedi has 12 years of industry experience and has been with the firm and a predecessor since 2009. Prior experiences include positions as Vice President, Associate Director and Analyst of Canadian Equities with leading Canadian investment management firms.

Mr. Chaturvedi graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology with a Bachelor in Architecture and also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Richard Ivey School of Business. He also obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
